On May 21st 1986, the BBC broadcast first episode of Andrew Davies’s black campus comedy A Very Peculiar Practice. 2021 celebrated series’ 35th anniversary. This article provides an analysis contribution series to genre comedy. It evaluation major themes, plots and characters introduced throughout how these reflected, reacted to, political environment ideology time. The is discussed in broader context novel, fiction which staff, students university management are satirised, its television film medicine/hospital also discussed.
